Canada Day - Summer Raft Up - Smugglers Cove

About GYC:

The Gulf Yacht Club was formed in 1965. Our Membership consists of sailboat owners and their families who like to cruise under sail and explore the waters of British Columbia and beyond. Our primary focus is on companionship when cruising local waters (no racing). We welcome novice sailors and support them in their new cruising endeavors. Member yachts are moored in a variety of marinas.

Club Burgee:

Is a blue with a white diagonal, symbolizing a yacht's wake across the Gulf.

General Meetings:

Meetings consist of a business portion followed by a guest speaker on various sailing topics of interest. Past speakers have included presentations on cruising offshore, trips, cooks afloat, how to build a wooden dingy, and False Creek Blue Waves Initiative. Each meeting provides plenty of opportunity to socialize and catch up in a casual atmosphere.
